As a language-learner myself, I understand the frustration of wanting to be able to join in the conversation but every time you try, your brain simply freezes and none of your language training is accessible when you need it.
I remember one time, I was on vacation in France and needed a screwdriver to try to repair my suitcase. I looked up all the right words in my dictionary, practiced my pronunciation and sentence structure, and gathered the courage to ask the store clerk. As soon as I opened my mouth to speak, I couldn’t. I couldn’t recall any of the words or grammar I needed and had practiced. Nothing was there. Finally, I had to draw a picture of what I needed and just shrugged my shoulders.
It was then that I decided just to keep trying. I realized that if I was ever going to become comfortable with speaking French (or any language I studied) I needed to speak it out loud, not just read the language or keep the language in my head. At the end of the day, my French was improving and I was gaining confidence because, not only was I using the language, but I had native-speakers guiding me along the way. This experience is the reason that I include plenty of conversation in all my classes and why I have launched the English Conversation Fellowship for Non-Native Professionals.

Instruction and discussion topics will center around my 4 Pillars of 360-Degree Fluency in English within the context of doing buisness in an English-based environment.
Each one-hour meeting will have at least 30 minutes of live discussion between the meeting attendees with 15 to 30 minutes of topic introduction and background.

Hello There!
I'm Cathleen, Advanced English Fluency Coach and founder of English with @CathleenElise.
English with @CathleenElise is all about combining my three passions (the English language, honing my skills in communicating effectively, and teaching) into a 360-degree solution for your struggles with becoming fluent in communicating with native-English-speakers.
As a language learner myself, I understand the struggles to put all of the pieces of a language together in a comprehensive way that makes living in the language easy (and makes transitioning from your native language into English easy as well) in every situation.
This is why, I help non-native-English-speaking professionals who are looking to take their proficiency in English to the next level succeed in understanding how to learn the English language and how to become fluent in the language of English-speaking cultures so that they can speak English like a professional who belongs in any room and move ahead in their careers with confidence and authority.
